Snowmass National Finals presented by Luna
August 9-12, 2007
Cross Country
Presented by Kenda Tires and Tubes
The brand new KENDA Cross Country has been designed, reviewed and approved. What looks to be the most challenging course of the 2007 NMBS season features almost 3500 feet of climbing over the 13 mile lap! The KENDA Cross Country will reward the racer who has the best late season fitness and love the leg and lung busting altitude in Colorado. The start and finish is located in the Two Creek base area of Snowmass. This move has equated to even more climbing than in years past.
Beginning with a short, steep paved climb the course turns onto Starks Trail (more climbing) up to the infamous Powerline Trail endless single track climb…. Racers finally get a bit of a break on the Elk Camp Work Road which leads them to some the sweetest single track racing on the Government Trail. Form the Government Trail the course re-connects with part of last years cross country course located near the Snowmass Village Mall and travels up to the Ullrhof Restaurant. Form the Ullrhof it is mostly a descent back to the Two Creeks base Area via the Cross Mountain, Government, Anaerobic Nightmare and Tom Blake trails.
