Snowmass National Finals presented by Luna
August 9-12, 2007
Thanks To Doug
Every event in every destination has many champions for the cause, unsung heroes who make the events possible. Doug Mackenzie has been just that for cycling events in Snowmass Village. A former Enduro Motor Cycle national champion himself, Doug understands competitive events and has been a key factor in our success. After many years of service to the ski industry, and most recently as mountain manager for Snowmass Mountain, Doug is retiring and moving on to full time family life. On behalf of Bigfoot Productions and the entire Rocky Mountain cycling community we would like to thank Doug and offer he and his family our deepest thanks and best of luck! How To Get Here
From Glenwood Springs take highway 82 South and turn right at Brush Creek Road heading to Snowmass Village (not Snowmass). Follow the signs to the Snowmass Village Mall. Registration is at the Ticket Pavilion on the mall. Parking is very limited. We recommend you park at your lodging provider and walk/ride to registration.
Airports
Aspen is 8 miles away
Denver is 250 miles away
Eagle County is 70 miles away
Grand Junction is 130 miles away Parking
Parking is very limited in Snowmass Village. We recommend you ride your bike whenever possible. In addition a free public transportation system is always available and it rocks! You can take it anywhere you need to go in a timely manner. Day parking will be in A lot which is below Mall level where much of the event activity will be. The normal public busses will take you to mall level or you can easily ride there. The best parking will be available through your lodging provider. Park it and leave it for the weekend.
Food
There are many restaurants on the Snowmass Village Mall. Most do not require reservations. The village market is located about 1 mile from the venue but store hours are slightly limited. Additional grocery shopping is available in nearby El Jabel. There is a liquor store on the second level of the Snowmass Village Mall. Finally Aspen has many awesome food options including grocery shopping.
Camping
Due to construction on the mountain, there will not be ANY camping available at the venue for the Snowmass National. Please click here for US Forest Service information on camping areas nearby.
Pets
Nobody loves the furry friends more than Bigfoot Productions, but dogs and bike races go together like goat heads and bike tires. Please do us a favor and leave the pets at home for this event or if you bring them please put them on a leash.
Award Ceremonies
The nightly award ceremonies will take place on the stage at the end of Snowmass Village Mall.
Merchandise
Snowmass National merchandise will be available at the event. To order NMBS Merchandise please visit Rising Sun Gear.

Join World Champion, two-time Olympian, and Luna Chix Alison Dunlap for a pre-ride of the race courses at the 2007 National Mountain Bike Series Events. Learn techniques and strategies that will improve your climbing, descending, cornering, switchbacks, and anything else you want to fine tune before your event. Alison will take athletes on a pre-ride of the race course and show you the stuff that helped make her one of the best in the world. The clinics are free and open to anyone. The clinics are limited to twenty riders so sign up early. Come hear World Champion mountain biker Alison Dunlap share her stories, insights, and advice on bike riding, nutrition, hydration, training, and racing at an evening presentation during the National Mountain Bike Series. She is also a current member of the 2007 Luna Women's Mountain Bike Team.
